You do not need people preparing you for a gun battle in a phone booth by showing you how to use a scalpel. It is okay to fire folks.
Lesson (for) one. When trying to play chess with a pigeon…throw away the fucking chessboard! Before responding to the pigeon, you need to already know what your last sentence will be in your fucking response (not answer!), in order to transition that response to making it negative light on -45. Every time. Every. Fucking. Time. It’s important to be right about placing -45 in negative light, instead of being correct with an answer. Did I mention gun battle in a phone booth?
Having the flu is redeemable. Being over prepared just shows a presidential campaign out of touch with us. Your country.
This debate isn’t a fatal setback, but it sure does sow serious doubt when serious Dem influencers bring up the topic of finding someone else to run on the ticket. A topic I brought up a year ago, which no one took seriously. But now…
I think replacing Biden at this stage would be a serious error. The train has not only left the station, it’s at the final destination. The GOP has the capability to make that last minute shift, not the DNC. One of the few benefits for the GOP of blind brainwashed military like precision and disciplined obedience. Some ancillary benefits the DNC could certainly learn from. Just not now as the final exam is being administered! What the fuck?
Replace Biden now? At this late stage? Where the fuck were these privileged moderate motherfuckers a year ago when opportunity was idea and prime to change candidates. Now it rains, their head gets wet and they claim to be drowning. Welcome to the revolution…I guess. At best, all they are offering is another brick in the rucksack for a repeat of the unstable convention times of the 1960s. Because that’s what is needed as dress rehearsal for January 6th part fucking two!

Especially, to remind us all that despite Trumps good performance… well… that’s all it was, performative master piece theater…whoops, WWE (I will pause while Biden staff google what WWE is). Of course, with the added bonus of lies. Much like peace, truth still sales. But who the fuck is buying? Speaking of studio audience, or more to the point of not having one, how negligent was Biden’s training in exploiting this Biden requested -45 kryptonite (no rally audience like when Kaitlan Collins hosted). Seems it was on the same level as poker face training, when we all well know there’s always a camera on your face Joe, when Dump talks. But by all means let’s train the incumbent to answer immigration issues by repeating Donald’s screed on pre-adolescent murders in Texas without ever mentioning -45’s deconstructive work on Republican Senator Lankford. But I know, Lankford is a Republican, and that repels DIMS.
PS: Joe. Acknowledging it’s hard to debate a liar at the local Waffle House is the wrong fucking time for that epiphany. It’s too fucking bad we didn’t come to that profound conclusion during our extended stay at Camp David, and trained accordingly. Always being correct, and always ignoring perfect being the enemy of just right will always defeat you. Which also means, by the way, your people are going to have to figure out how to gracefully own this…debate performance. Yes. Own it. Not deflect. Gaslighting us the same way they have gaslit your age not being an issue is just a proven failure in proof of concept.
In summary:
Phone booth.
Gun battle.
Scalpel.
Do better…goddamnit! Don’t over fucking prepare. Be Joe Scranton.
There is no place for empathy during these dumpster fire presidential debates.
Make sure Gavin Newsome is the only person preparing you for your second debate.
There better be a dartboard with -45’s face on it at the next debate prep. There is nothing wrong with exercising killer instinct. It’s a mindset. You need more of it!

The restaurant is Din Tai Fung. Facebook says Chinese, but this wonderful chain has its origins in Taiwan. Yes. Taiwan. 🇹🇼
Regardless. All of the food is on point. Soup dumplings to spare ribs, to garlic braised cabbage. Look it up, I am not an influencer, and my concentrative appetite always takes precedence over pausing to take pictures. I guess it’s a Gen X thing. This place is proud of their dumplings, they had no less than eight people this day in the picture framed kitchen window for ALL to see every Latina staff member expertly cranking out handmade to order dumplings.
Heaven on earth? Nirvana at least…
Don’t pass up the opportunity to dine there, should that ever happen for you.

You're essay sparked an ember that's been smoldering since the hours before the debate.on MSNBC's pre-debate analysis, Jen Psakitalked about Biden's vulnerability. He likes to explain hi,seldom, defend the things he cares about. She also said he had a chip on his shoulder, which I surmise goes back to the bullying he got through childhood and is teens. She didn't say--but I don't think it needs saying--that he loathes Trump, who represents everything Biden's upbringing conditions him to hate. She concluded that these were significant vulnerabilities that could trip Biden up.
One thing Trump is adept at is identifying vulnerabilities and manipulating them. He'd call them weaknesses, which e title him to savage the other party.
I don't know what kind of prep his advisers put him through, but I have a hunch that it may not have mattered once he was in the room alone with Trump and the moderators. The lack of an audience, which would have tempered Biden (whereas it would have inflamed Trump) woukd have boomerangs on Biden.
Going back to the stunned mullet look I mentioned. The moment he realized how bad a mistake this was and that it was too late. He did improve in the debate, but is a savvy enough politician to know when he's really, really stepped in it.
In NC the next day, he came in hot. Biden's passion usually has a tinge of anger in it. But the NC rally was different. He was hot and I think it was at himself and maybe at staff. it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out over the next week.
