Smash the Patriarchy?
Zero Day
Recently decided to try Netflix…again…we will see.
However…
A miniseries to take note of.
Zero Day.
Yep. De Niro headlines, along with Bassett…good crowd draw.
I am not going to summarize the main plot or theme, because it’s called the News.
One of the reasons we gave up Netflix was because of the tedious search for film or cinema that left an indelible mark in our consciousness.
Zero Day does this…good job Netflix…but not in the way expected.
Zero Day smashes the patriarchy!
Now…I said this mini-series echos the dumpster fire of what’s going on in Merica, predictable and expected. Right?
What’s most unexpected, cleverly and almost covertly done is that the patriarch is smashed. In fact, mockingly but subtly obliterated.
Watch or rewatch Zero Day…and at the forefront of your mind, illuminate the fact that every woman character (to even include a POTUS, and the reprehensible and psychotic female character emulating Elon Musk) displays more morale courage than their male counterparts.
I watch most of my streaming with the captions on…yay…I am old. But the benefit is reinforced comprehension, especially to the nuances of this script.
Why are we still arguing that smashing the patriarchy wouldn’t make the world a better place?
Speaking of women…#slowtravel
My wife and I recently attended Cyndi Lauper’s farewell concert tour.
Epic.
Cyndi is not just a talented musician and entertainer, she is also a prolific storyteller.
72 years young and can still move like an agile ninja.
Respect.

I will have to check Zero Day out. Thanks for the recommendation!
